Christmas Classic Twists: White Hot Chocolate with Coffee Cream Whip

As I have said before I am developing a little bit of a hot chocolate obsession this year but we can deal with that later. I made a Spiked Hot Chocolate a few weeks ago so as an ex-white chocolate lover I wanted to try something a little different White Hot Chocolate with Coffee Cream Whip.

White Hot Chocolate with Coffee Cream Whip Ingredients:
  • White Chocolate (I used Milky Bar Buttons)
  • Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Whipping Cream
  • Espresso
  • Cocoa
  • Ready whipped cream (optional)

Start by making the hot chocolate then it has time to cool before adding the whipped cream to the top – trust me it will turn into a mess.

Put some milk in a pan and add the white chocolate and vanilla essence. Ensure to continually stir otherwise the chocolate may stick to the pan and burn. After about 5 minutes all the chocolate should have melted so you are done – Put in a mug and move on to the cream.

Whip the hot chocolate powder, espresso and cream together until you get a thick dark cream. When you have the right consistency, check the white hot chocolate has cooled before placing the coffee whip on top.

Finally, I added some ready made whipped cream on top to give it a little something extra. What you end up with is a lovely gradient in your mug and bright white cream to top it all off.
