Review: Skinny Tan – Golden Glow (in winter)

Hey Everyone,

If you have followed me for a while you know that i’m not an avid fake tan user but every now and then I go through a stage when fake tan becomes my best friend. I think it’s always around the time when winter is annoying me and i’m so ready for summer (so like now!)

I recently tried Skinny Tan Salon Effects Spray and absolutely loved it. In my opinion, there are a few tests that fake tan needs to pass to make it great.

Colour

I loved the colour, not too dark and not orange. It also fades forgivingly so you don’t go from super tanned to white as a sheet in one day.

Application

This was the easiest fake tan to apply. You simply spray all over your body and then use a mitt to rub in any uneven bits. It dries really quickly on your skin so you can get dressed and get on with your evening. My only complaint is that it gets absolutely everywhere. My bathroom was covered in fake tan which very quickly put a pink tinge all over the place. It was easy to wipe away but some areas have been a little stained by this.

Smell

It does have that burnt biscuit, fake tan smell but to date I haven’t found a fake tan that doesn’t have this smell so this isn’t a big deal in my eyes.

White Sheet Test

I have white bed sheets so my big test with fake tan is whether it passes the white sheet trial. This did with flying colours my sheets weren’t at all stained but this tan.

Overall, I was really impressed by this tan. If you have a tanning tent I would 100% recommend using it but I would definitely give this another try.

Have you tried this tan? What did you think?

Love

T x
