With every new year, people want to try new things. Before Christmas, I tried Ariel Yoga at Fly Fantastic for the very first time.
As someone who fell back in love with yoga and pilates throughout 2018 I was really excited to try something new. A few years prior I had attended a few Ariel Silks classes with flying fantastic so I had a vague idea of what to expect.
Ariel Yoga uses silks hanging from the ceiling to support your body whilst you are working through yoga movements. There is little floor contact but the stretch is still just as deep.
If someone had told me at the beginning of the class I would be doing movements like the above I would have laughed in their face. However, it was pretty effortless as the teacher was fabulous and knew just the right time to begin introducing more difficult moves.
I absolutely loved Ariel Yoga it was challenging but also super relaxing. You have the ability to switch off like you do in a yoga class with a slightly more intense workout (in my opinion). I usually don’t ache after a yoga class but I could feel my muscles after this class which I liked.
So if you want to try something new this year, I would completely recommend Ariel Yoga.
